About Catrin

Catrin was raised in Aberystwyth and read music at Jesus College, Oxford where she played the piano and the violin. She completed the vocal MMus course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2012 and studies with Theresa Goble.

During 2018, Catrin has sung the role of Adele Die Fledermaus for St Albans' Chamber Opera, Lily Lily and Bear for Irrational Theatre, and Pamina The Magic Flute for both Opera Anywhere and Porcupine Productions and has continued her involvement with Opera Anywhere's ever successful G&S tour which includes Patience, The Mikado and The Pirates of Penzance.

Previous roles include Miss Pinkerton The Old Maid and the Thief  (Opera Anywhere),  Amahl Amahl and the Night Visitors (Opera Anywhere and Porcupine Productions), Despina Cosi fan Tutte (Jackdaws OperaPlus), L'enfant L'enfant et les sortileges (RWCMD), First Boy  The Magic Flute (Brent Opera), Miles The Turn of the Screw (Cooper Hall / Bath Philharmonia), and Sandman and Dewfairy Hansel and Gretel (Cooper Hall / Bath Philharmonia and St Albans Opera ). She has sung in the chorus for both British Youth Opera and Garsington Opera, and in 2009 was selected to give a recital at La Mortella, the Italian home of the late Sir William Walton.


Catrin is an alumna of both the  Cooper Hall Emerging Artist scheme and the Philharmonia Chorus student scheme, and  together with The Leading Ladies, she is a member of Live Music Now.

Plans for 2019 include the role of Rose Maybud for St Albans Opera and Gretel for Opera Anywhere.
